BERG XL BFR Go-Karts

The BERG XL BFR range is where real go-karting begins. Designed for riders aged 7 years and up (BERG list 5+ as the official starting age) or a height range of 125 – 190 cm, these full-size pedal go-karts deliver the strength, comfort and excitement of true outdoor driving.

In practice, most children find the XL models best suited from around 7–8 years old, as the large frame and heavier gearing can be difficult for younger riders on grass or uneven ground. On flat, firm surfaces, smaller or stronger children may manage sooner.

All models use BERG’s clever BFR drive system, which stands for Brake, Freewheel and Reverse. Riders can pedal forwards, brake by back-pedalling, come to a stop and then immediately pedal in reverse — no gears or handbrakes required. It’s simple, safe and fun for all ages.

The range starts with the BERG XL Pure, the perfect entry-level model, and builds up through the Basic Super Blue, Super Yellow, and Super Red. For those who love adventure, the Jeep Revolution and BERG Explorer offer rugged tyres and off-road styling.

Every go-kart in the XL BFR range features a tough powder-coated steel frame, adjustable seat (6 positions), swing axle suspension, and large pneumatic tyres for a smooth ride across grass, gravel or tarmac.
