The BERG MOOV 12 is a lightweight and comfortable balance bike designed for growing young riders who are ready for a little more adventure.

With larger 12-inch pneumatic tyres, the MOOV 12 offers a smooth and comfortable ride while making it easier to roll over bumps and uneven surfaces. The larger wheels make it an excellent next step for children who have outgrown a smaller balance bike, while still being easy to control and confidence-inspiring for children learning to balance for the first time.

Suitable for children from approximately 2.5 years old and 90 - 120cm tall, the MOOV 12 features a low step-through frame that makes getting on and off easy. Both the saddle and handlebars can be adjusted as your child grows, helping the bike provide a comfortable riding position for longer.

At just 4.7kg, the BERG MOOV 12 remains light enough for young children to manoeuvre while also being easy for parents to pick up and carry when little legs have had enough.

Learning to ride a balance bike helps children develop their balance, coordination and steering skills naturally, giving them a great foundation before moving on to a pedal bike.

MOOV 10 or MOOV 12?

The BERG MOOV 10 is ideal for smaller and younger riders, with compact 10-inch puncture-proof EVA tyres and a lightweight design.

For a taller or slightly older child, the BERG MOOV 12 offers more room to grow and the added comfort of larger 12-inch air-filled tyres. These provide extra cushioning and make the MOOV 12 particularly well suited to longer rides and surfaces such as paths, grass and slightly uneven ground.

Does it need assembly?

Only minimal assembly is required. You’ll just need to fit the handlebars and front wheel — tools and instructions are included.

What’s the next model up after the BERG MOOV 10?

Once your child outgrows the MOOV 10, we recommend moving to the BERG Moov 12 or the BERG Biky range, which both feature 12-inch wheels, larger frames and hand-brake options for confident riders aged about 2.5 – 6 years.

What age is the BERG MOOV 12 suitable for?

The BERG MOOV 12 is suitable for children from approximately 2.5 years old. Rider height is often a better guide than age, and BERG recommends the MOOV 12 for children approximately 90 - 120cm tall.

What is the difference between the BERG MOOV 10 and MOOV 12?

The main differences are the size of the bike and the tyres. The MOOV 10 has smaller 10 inch EVA tyres and is suitable from approximately 2 years old and 85–115cm tall. The MOOV 12 has larger 12-inch pneumatic tyres and is designed for children from approximately 2.5 years old and 90 - 120cm tall.

The MOOV 12 is therefore a good choice for a slightly taller child, or where you want the additional comfort offered by air-filled tyres.

Can the BERG MOOV 12 be used as a child's first balance bike?

Yes. A child does not need to have ridden a smaller balance bike before using the MOOV 12. Provided they are tall enough to comfortably reach the ground, the MOOV 12 is designed to help children develop their balance, coordination and confidence.

Does the BERG MOOV 12 grow with my child?

Yes. Both the saddle and handlebars are height adjustable, allowing the riding position to be altered as your child grows. This helps extend the useful life of the balance bike.

Are the BERG MOOV 12 tyres puncture-proof?

No. Unlike the EVA tyres fitted to the MOOV 10, the MOOV 12 uses air-filled pneumatic tyres. These provide better cushioning and a more comfortable ride, but they should be checked and inflated when necessary.

Is the BERG MOOV 12 suitable for grass and uneven ground?

The larger 12-inch pneumatic tyres make the MOOV 12 better suited to varied surfaces than a smaller balance bike with solid tyres. It can be used on surfaces such as paths, short grass and reasonably firm uneven ground, although it is primarily a children's balance bike rather than an off-road bike.

Does the BERG MOOV 12 have a brake?

The standard BERG MOOV 12 is designed around simple balance-bike riding, where children control their speed using their feet rather than a conventional handbrake.
